Designed to be worn on its own in hot weather with No Jacket Required, the Urbane Pro Mk3 is the most versatile, CORE garment for any rider, no matter what motorcycle they ride. Worn close to the body, the armour stays in place and won’t move around. The ultimate lightweight, breathable, impact and abrasion resistant motorcycle armoured shirt.
The Mk3 has even more performance and is packed with extra features and pockets. It is fitted with thinner, lighter and more flexible Level 2 Micro-Lock Compact in the back, shoulders and elbows.
CE approved as a standalone “Class AA” garment with approved abrasion resistance built in, meaning an outer shell is no longer necessary unless you want to wear one.

The Urbane Pro Mk3, the latest and most advanced version of Knox’s popular armoured shirt, is a versatile and essential piece of gear for any rider. With its close-fitting design, the armour stays in place, providing optimal protection without movement. The Urbane Pro Mk3 is CE approved as a standalone “Class AA” garment, meaning that it has been certified as both impact and abrasion resistant, and can be worn on its own without the need for an outer shell.
The Mk3 is packed with features, including lighter and more flexible Level 2 Micro-Lock Compact armour in the back, shoulders and elbows, as well as practical zipped pockets on the front, an internal chest phone pocket, a visor wipe, and even an ear plug storage pocket. The neck and cuffs have been updated with a soft and comfortable binding, and there’s a front placket with embossed branding for added comfort and style. Reflective piping and improved security belt loops complete the design.
The Urbane Pro Mk3 is designed to be worn in hot weather on its own, or in changing weather conditions with additional warm or waterproof layers from the Knox Seasonless Collection. It’s the perfect core layer, providing both abrasion and armour protection.

- Constructed using High tenacity stretch nylon, combined with tough breathable arrownet mesh selected for abrasion, cut and tear resistance.
- Stretch mesh panels added for flexibility and comfort.
- YKK zips throughout.
- 2 exterior zipped pockets with reflective zip pullers. Extra visor wipe included.
- 4 interior low profile pockets.
- Interior phone pocket and earplug pocket.
- Comfort binding on neck and cuffs.
- Innovative discreet stretch reflective binding that only reflects at night.
- Discreet Knox branding on the chest, front hem and back.

Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest and your shoulder blades.
Waist: To work out your size, measure your waist in the position your trousers usually sit. As a guide this is roughly 2inches (approx. 5-6cm) below your belly button.
Please note: The measurements given are body measures and we recommend you do not measure over the clothing. Also please hold the tape measure firmly and not loosely as the measurement needs to be fitted. If you measure in between sizes or at the top end of the size, we recommend you go up one size.

(verified owner)Looking at the top of my left shoulder, it appeared that I had hit something substantial. A fine layer of skin had been rubbed off leaving a red, but not painful, second layer. The shoulder armour had spread the impact and protected the top of the humerus and the scapula and the outer part of the clavicle. However the transmitted shock broke the clavicle around its mid point and the blade of the scapula (neither of these is covered by the shoulder armour of this or any other jacket I have worn). Later examination revealed 4 broken ribs and a punctured lung. The elbow and back armour had done their jobs and there were no marks on me in those areas. The only damage to the jacket was a slight scuff on the lower left front edge. All of the above was the result of a 60mph crash.
It is possible that some of my bones may have faired better if I had been wearing my leather jacket, but it is not certain. A chest protector would not have helped either.
After all that, how do I rate the Urbane Pro Mk3? It fits me very well and I find it comfortable. The cooling breeze is much appreciated on a hot day. The abrasion, cut and tear resistance of the fabric seems to do a good job and the impact resistance of the level 2 armour gives reassurance too. However, there are a couple of observations that I have made. If you are unlucky enough to have a stone pinged up at you by a passing vehicle, you will feel it. Even a bee will be felt at speed. The fabric of the jacket is great for ventilation, but offers little impact protection away from the armoured areas.
So, will I be wearing the jacket again when the bones have healed? Oh yes!

Thanks very much for your feedback TP. We are so pleased to hear the Urbane Pro did its job and you will be wearing it again once you are fully fit. Although you don’t think a chest protector would have helped in your case, it is a great addition to any of our armoured shirts and many riders now add them to give them extra coverage. They can also help with absorbing the hit from small stones or insects as you ride. We hope that you are soon back on your motorcycle and enjoying riding again.

(verified owner)Love this jacket, It would have received 5 Stars from me but I have a problem. I ordered a 4XL size for my shoulder/Chest width. The problem is I have a fair Athletic Frame, while the arms, shoulders, and chest fits well, nearly a 2nd skin. the waist line is too large. For reference I have a 34 inch belt line. I am left with trying to figure out how to get a local tailor to “Taper Cut” form under the arms to my waist line. Hope to figure it out soon

This is an absolutely fantastic summer jacket, best way I can describe it is when you’re moving it’s like having air conditioning on your motorbike. The fit is snug, but you can barely feel the Level 2 armour once it’s on. Knowing it’s AA rated for abrasion is reassuring, especially since it feels like you’re not wearing a motorcycle jacket at all.
I only wish I’d discovered the Urbane Pro before I bought so many different jackets that ended up not quite being quite what I needed. With this I can just wear any warm/waterproof later on top knowing I’m still well protected.

Well made gear and so liberating to not have all the bulk of a textile suit.

Recently completed 4000miles over 2 weeks across Europe and wore this shirt every day. Super comfy and worked well in temps above 20c. The soft armour enables you to fold the jacket into a Kriega US-20 with some additional space.
Next purchase is the waterproof overlayer.
Would i recommend it? HELL YEAH!

What can you say…just THE best piece of motorcycle kit I’ve I’ve ever bought… comfortable, flexible, not bulky, great to wear with or without a jacket over it… brilliant.
Only one criticism….it’s a touch expensive, but hey, I suppose you get what you pay for!!!
